저희 “시소연”이 활동하고 있는 호주는 수 만년 동안 돌보아 온 에보리진 원주민들과 토레스 해협인들의 선조들과 그들의 후손들을 존중합니다. 본 자리를 통해 호주의 원주민들에게 경의를 표하는 바입니다.
□ 소개
"일본군 '위안부'와 함께하는 호주친구들"이라는 이름으로 2006년에 출발하여 현재는 NSW 주 Trade에 공식 등록된 사회단체인 "시드니 평화의 소녀상 연대"로 활동하고 있다.
네덜란드계 호주인인 얀 러프-오헤른 할머니(1923~2019)의 고난과 역경을 계승하며 그의 투쟁을 이어가고 있으며, 호주 내 결의안 채택 활동 및 소녀상 건립 등의 활동과 더불어 '위안부' 이슈를 넘어서 여성 및 아동 인권, 평화에 대한 의식을 고취시키고 있다. 또한 김복동 할머니의 유언이신 “조선학교 차별반대” 교육도 호주 시드니를 중심으로 활동하고 있다.

□ FCWSは、私たちが活動する土地の先住民であるアボリジニおよびトレス海峡諸島の伝統的な管理者に敬意を表し、過去、現在、そして将来の先住民に敬意を表します。
□ 2006年に設立された「オーストラリアの慰安婦の友の会(FCWA)」は、現在、NSW州トレードに正式に登録し、「FCWS」という団体名で活動しています。FCWSは、オランダ系オーストラリア人のヤン・ラフ・オヘルネ（1923〜2019）さんと彼女の遺志を引き継いでいます。オーストラリア国内では、決議案の提唱や平和の像を建立するための活動、または 「慰安婦」問題だけでなく、女性や子供の権利、平和の追求についても意識を高めることを目指しています。さらに、FCWSは、日本の朝鮮学校への差別に対するキャンペーンも積極的に推進しながら、シドニーのさまざまな場所で、金福東さんの証言を伝えています。

Friends of “Comfort Women” in Sydney acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present, and emerging.
□ Introduce
Established in 2006, the <Friends of “Comfort Women” in Australia (FCWA)> now operates as the officially registered organisation <Friends of “Comfort Women” in Sydney> under the NSW Trade. FCWS carries on the legacy of Jan Ruff-O'Herne (1923–2019), a Dutch-Australian, and her advocacy efforts. Alongside activities such as advocating for resolutions within Australia and erecting a peace statue, FCWS aims to raise awareness not just about the 'Comfort Women' issue but also about women's and children's rights and the pursuit of peace. FCWS actively promotes the educational campaign against discrimination in Korean schools in Japan, inspired by the testament of Kim Bok-dong, across various locations in Sydney, Australia.
